高熱性細菌、Thermus thermophilusから分離されたThermus Thermostable RNAポリメラーゼは65℃以上の温度条件下で安定かつ最適な酵素活性を持ちます。Thermus RNAポリメラーゼは、subnit構造でE. coli RNAポリメラーゼに類似しています。

Unit Definition

One unit of Thermus RNA Polymerase catalyzes the incorporation of 1 nmole of a ribonucleoside triphosphate into RNA in 60 minutes at 65℃ under standard assay conditions using poly(dA-dT) as a template.

Storage Buffer

50% glycerol containing 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 M NaCl, 1.0mM DTT, 0.1mM EDTA, and 0.1% Triton X-100.

Quality Control

Thermus Thermostable RNA Polymerase is tested for RNA synthesis and is free of detectable exo- and endonuclease and RNase activities.
