ScriptGuard™ RNase Inhibitor is your best defense against common RNases including RNase A, RNase B, and RNase C. This recombinant RNase inhibitor protein provides reliable protection of your precious RNA samples by binding strongly to RNases in a 1:1 ratio. Advanced purification protocols and extensive quality control tests ensure ScriptGuard™ RNase Inhibitor is free of unwanted contaminants that can plague other commercially available preparations of RNase inhibitors.

Applications

Effectively inhibits the degradation of RNA by eukaryotic RNases in a variety of applications, including cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR and in vitro transcription and translation.

• Free of detectable RNase or DNase activity and mammalian DNA.

Unit Definition

One unit of ScriptGuard RNase Inhibitor results in 50% inhibition of 5 ng of RNase A. Activity is measured by the inhibition of hydrolysis of 2,3'-cyclic monophosphate by RNase A.

Storage Buffer

ScriptGuard RNase Inhibitor is supplied in a 50% glycerol solution containing 50 mM Tris-HC (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA, 10 mM DTT and 100 mM NaCl.

Quality Control

ScriptGuard RNase Inhibitor is free of detectable DNA exo- and endonuclease, and RNase activities.
